Behavioral Health Services
Kindred Hospital Dayton is pleased to announce the opening of a new 46-bed behavioral health unit for adults ages 18+, including dedicated services for geriatric patients. The unit offers 24-hour supervised psychiatric treatment and crisis support for mental health issues.
Description of Services
Patients will receive compassionate and comprehensive mental healthcare, including the following services:
- Crisis stabilization
- Mental health professionals on site 24 hours a day/7 days a week
- Monitoring by our clinical staff with medical physician oversight
- Medication management
- Individual therapy
- Group counseling
- Discharge planning
What We Treat
Inpatient treatment is available to help diagnose, manage and treat a wide range of mental health issues, including:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Suicidal thoughts
- Bipolar disorder
- Borderline personality disorder
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Psychosis
- Co-occurring mental and substance use disorders
Admission Criteria
Adults experiencing the following may be eligible:
- Feelings of loneliness, worthlessness or hopelessness
- Suicidal or homicidal thoughts
- Depression and anxiety
- False beliefs, paranoia and/or delusional thoughts
- Auditory and visual hallucinations
- Prolonged emotional issues after a major life event
- Behavioral changes related to medications
- Excessive isolation
- Difficulty managing daily activities
- Increase or decrease in appetite or sleep
- Trouble concentrating
