Experienced healthcare operations executive Adam Darvish has been named ScionHealth’s new Senior Vice President of Specialty Hospital Operations for the West Region of its national network of long-term acute care hospitals (LTACHs). In this role, Darvish will oversee strategic and business operations for ScionHealth’s 20 Kindred Hospitals in California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, and El Paso, Texas. Gary suffered a heart attack and kidney failure, accompanied by cardiogenic shock and septic shock. During his stay at Kindred Chattanooga, Gary was able to be weaned off of the ventilator. With speech therapy, Gary went from a nothing-by-mouth diet to a pureed/mildy-thick diet. Additionally, Gary was able to stand with an EVA walker and transitioned from passive range of motion to active range of motion on all limbs.

Norma was admitted to the high-acuity unit at Kindred for close monitoring, ventilator management, and IV drip management. At discharge, she was able to walk 50 feet with a walker and minimal assistance. Norma worked with respiratory staff and was liberated from the ventilator.
