Bryan's Success Story
"They don't give up on you at Kindred!”
- Bryan
Bryan was admitted to Kindred Hospital Louisville from University of Louisville hospital post-surgery for continuation of IV antibiotics, wound care and to receive rehabilitation.
At the beginning of his stay, Bryan was a little hesitant. With support from his nursing, wound care and rehab teams, Bryan showed significant signs of recovery quickly. He increased his mobility, and his wounds were improving.
Working hard with therapy, Bryan made big strides forward with his physical progress to be able to get up from bed and then transitioning to walking without an assisted device.
During his stay he met all goals of care for physical therapy and wound care. Bryan was always motivated, engaged, cooperative and put his heart into his recovery so he could return to his prior level of function. Bryan discharged home where he could continue his healing journey and spend time with his family and children.
Care for Complex Conditions
Patients come to our hospitals with serious conditions such as respiratory failure, complex wounds, sepsis, stroke, congestive heart failure, or even a combination of these. Their diagnoses are often complicated by existing health problems like diabetes or COPD. Many of our patients require treatments such as mechanical ventilators, dialysis, or IV therapy.
