Supporting Your Loved One

We believe support from family and friends is a critical component of recovery. Whether your loved one can respond to you or not, you can help keep their spirits up by simply being there. We encourage visits as often as possible and invite you to bring family pictures, letters, and cherished personal items to surround your loved one with postivity.

Family Involvement

At Kindred Hospitals, we take an interdisciplinary approach to care planning and we believe family members are an important part of that team. At your request, we can hold family meetings with your loved one’s care team to discuss progress, provide education on a treatment plan, or review the discharge plan in preparation for post-hospital life. Our staff is ready to make your experience with us as pleasant and inclusive as possible. Please ask a case manager if you would like to schedule one of these discussions.

Southwest Bistro

Southwest Bistro is open Monday thru Friday and offers full-course lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. We believe that simple food is best made from scratch with top-quality ingredients and produce. You can taste the difference in our wide selection of cuisines prepared in-house and made fresh daily by our renowned chefs.

Southwest Bistro also offers a delicious variety of fresh and hot quality entrée selections, a crisp salad bar, seasonal fresh fruit, complete hot and cold selections and, of course, desserts and beverages. Also, vending machines with sandwiches, salads, snacks, drinks, and ice cream are available around the clock.

These are just some of the things that keep campus dining at the top of the class -- not to mention our cheerful hospitality!

Parking and Security

Visitor parking is provided in designated areas of the hospital lot, including spaces for handicapped parking. While we strive to keep all areas of the hospital secure, we are not responsible for vehicle damage, fire or theft while parked in the hospital lot. Our security staff is on duty around the clock and can provide escorts to and from cars as needed.

We lock all of our doors at 9 p.m. Please use the doorbell located at the front to reach one of our team members after hours.
